Expert Opinion

"At the moment, those undergoing the treatment are between 16 and 53. On average, after only 10 sessions, not only is there great improvement in vision but it is also maintained for at least two years."
Prof Donald Tan, Director Singapore Eye Research Institute and Deputy Director, Singapore National Eye Centre
"This treatment helps the brain to better understand the images the eyes are sending it, rather than altering the images the eyes receive by using corrective lenses or surgically altering the eye itself."
Dr Chan Wing Kwong, Senior Consultant and Head of Refractive Surgery Centre, Singapore National Eye Centre
"For example, select an item in your house that you cannot see clearly. After that, every five sessions, take a look at the object again and you will notice that your vision has become sharper. These are testimonials from patients who have experienced this."
Prof Donald Tan, Director Singapore Eye Research Institute and Deputy Director, Singapore National Eye Centre
"Vision is dependent on two things, how your eye receives the image and how your brain interprets the image. NeuroVision helps the brain to interpret sharper images."
Dr Chan Wing Kwong, Senior Consultant and Head of Refractive Surgery Centre, Singapore National Eye Centre
"Naturally we were quite skeptical about the whole thing, because traditionally, ophthalmologists thought that apart from glasses and surgery, other methods wouldn't work for myopia. But we tried it out, and it did work."

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any risks involved?

No, there are no known risks, side effects or complications as it does not involve any surgery or medication.

How long does the treatment take?

The program is 20 to 30 minutes a session, administered 3 times a week. There are a total of approximately 40 to 50 sessions. It will take 4 months to finish the treatment.

How do we do the training? What is it like?

You will be seated in front of a computer, approximately 1.5m away from the screen, in a dark room. The screen displays a series of images. Based on your response, the system adjusts the level of difficulty of the visual task to match your visual abilities. By increasing the difficulty of the visual task you are training your brain to see better.

How quickly will I notice that my vision is improving?

You may start noticing the visual improvement as soon as after 4 weeks of NeuroVision™ therapy.

Is the improvement permanent?

Vision improvement using the NeuroVision™ program is permanent. However, your vision may fluctuate in the future due to further changes in your eye.

How do the NeuroVision™ Program and eye exercises methods differ?

The NeuroVision™ technology focuses on the processing in the visual cortex of the brain and the skill acquired is long lasting. The other eye exercises methods are mainly designed to relax the eye muscles.

As of today NeuroVision™ Program is the only clinically tested and validated vision enhancement technology. Reputable eye care institutions have extensively tested NeuroVision™ technology with successful results.

How does NeuroVision™ Post-LASIK Program differ from Laser Refractive Surgery?

Refractive surgery alters optics of your eye, focusing light onto the retina at the back of the eye.

In contrast, the NeuroVision™ program improves your vision by focusing on the processing in the visual part of the brain (visual cortex). It requires no surgery, no drugs and is risk-free. This high-tech computer-based system improves the efficiency of the visual processing so that you see sharper.

I have -1.5 Diopters (150 degrees) now, how many dioptres will I have after completing the NeuroVision™ Program?

The NeuroVision™ Program is a non-surgical technology. The number of diopters is based on your physical eye therefore the NeuroVision™ Program does not have any impact on the number of diopters.

At the end of the training program, you may be able to have 6/6 (20/20) vision but you will still have -1.5 Diopters (150 degrees). Your eyesight would be much clearer despite your diopteric power.
